Overseas and Australian entities are lining up to invest in under-performing Aboriginal-controlled cattle stations in the Kimberley, according to the man behind an ambitious plan to run them as a vast co-operative.
Interest in the project went up a notch this week when mining billionaire Gina Rinehart took a 50% share in two privately-owned stations on the Fitzroy River surrounded by Aboriginal properties.
