Gina Rinehart receives the Contribution to Mining award at the Australian Mining Prospect Awards

After many years of hard work in the mining industry, the Hancock Prospecting Group is delighted to announce that Executive Chairman Gina Rinehart won the Contribution to Mining award at tonight’s Australian Mining Prospect Awards in Sydney.

This award win recognises Mrs Rinehart’s many decades of dedication and achievement including 2 books, many speeches and articles, the development of the 55Mpta mega Roy Hill iron ore project and the development of three major mines at Hope Downs, with a fourth in the pipeline.

Speaking following her win, Mrs Rinehart commented: “mining is essential in Australia. We’re an industry that supports many people, contributes to living standards and directly or indirectly improves the lives of many.”
