ANZAC Day remembrance dawn service at Kings Park Memorial in Perth

It was my honour to attend the RSL ANZAC Day remembrance dawn service at Kings Park Memorial in Perth that overlooks on high our Swan River and city centre. As the Honorary Consul of Latvia for West Australia I placed a wreath on behalf of Latvia during the service.

It was a brisk cold morning with a magical sunrise with tens of thousands in attendance.

The immediate emergence of a deep silence in everyone gave rise to a sacred spirit during the service.

157 Latvian soldiers  were shoulder to shoulder with the ANZAC soldiers …..freedom fighters forever together….

Major private supporters of the dawn service included Hancock and Roy Hill.

Lest we forget…..
