The inaugural Northern Australia Food Futures conference is underway in Darwin.
Hundreds of farmers, land developers, scientists, researchers, public servants and business heads have converged on the convention centre for the two-day forum.
The conference was kicked off this morning by the Northern Territory Chief Minister Adam Giles and he was later joined on stage by NT Minister for Primary Industry Willem Westra van Holthe, Queensland Minister for Primary Industry John McVeigh and Western Australia Minister for Agriculture Ken Baston.
Chief Minister Adam Giles says the agricultural-specific conference is the first of its kind to be held in Darwin since 1982.
