THE Territory must guard against “boom town syndrome”, a researcher has said.
A study commissioned by the Institute of Public Affairs, showed more than 60 per cent of people polled supported population growth in north Australia.
But Northern Institute population researcher Andrew Taylor said the oil and gas boom would create “backlash”.
